Danes Gourmet Coffee Connect Group
A new Connect Group has been formed at DMC, Danes Coffee Connect Group. Meeting regularly at Danes Ministry of Coffee (DMC) we aim to create a personal, face-to-face forum for coffee lovers to discuss what we all love to talk about: COFFEE! Coupled with coffee tastings and a coffee tasting competition where attendees are invited to choose their preferred brewing method and select= their favourite coffee to brew for the group. Each person is provided with a voting card on entry and can vote on their most outstanding coffee experience of the evening. The winner will receive a prize for the night. Summer Barista Courses for School Leavers
This summer, Danes Gourmet Coffee Institute (DGCI) are offering courses aimed at teenagers and graduates who want to learn the art of coffee so they can apply for a part-time job as a barista, whether in their local coffee shop over Christmas or when overseas travelling.
Utilising the experienced trainers and equipment of the DGCI, the ‘Essence of Espresso’ course is designed to thoroughly explain and train in the art of espresso.
The one day courses will run in January from 9am-4.30pm at 28 Dales Street, Brookvale (Sydney). The course costs $140 per person. Call us on (02) 9938 4522.

Danes Ministry of Coffee
Danes Ministry of Coffee (DMC) is a NEW concept at Danes for the coffee lover. Situated at our Danes Roasting facility at Brookvale, DMC is a showroom for all things coffee. Danes Ministry of Coffee will house specialty coffees, home machines and grinders, alternative brewers, coffee accessories, a tasting room and a training facility. A drop-in destination open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, DMC is at 28 Dale St Brookvale, and will also be a general knowledge coffee centre. Appointments can be made to discuss coffee, machines, tastings and training for home coffee lovers or commercial operators, and Danes Barista Accreditation. Bookings can also be made for our structured DMC coffee experience for a one-on-one tasting or for small groups to taste a variety of brewing methods including Danes Origin of the Month espresso, a piccolo latte, Chemex coffee, siphon coffee and cold drip. As a coffee indulgent, or if you have never experienced specialty coffee from a Siphon or Chemex, treat yourself, or give this unique gift for $22 per person, or $20 for two or more.
Bookings may also be made for DMC cupping sessions on specialty origins. For the connoisseur of coffee, barista, coffee lover, or as a gift, cupping cost is $10 per person or $19 with 250g of coffee.
